I would like to first make an introduction on what podcast is,
so that people can follow us on such an interesting new media,
based on the internet.
Podcast
Is a media file distributed by subscription (paid or unpaid),
over the Internet, using syndication feeds. Can be played on mobile
devices and personal computers. The latter, may also be termed
podcasting. The host, or author of a podcast, is often called
a podcaster.
Melinda Watts, is one of our affiliates and she has enjoyed our
program a lot. She had a few doubts about this new media over
the internet, so we decided to let our expert Nancy Smith conduct
this interesting interview.
Melinda Watts:
What is the main purpose of podcasting?
Nancy Smith:
This kind of new media, podcasts, allows a lot of people to connect
around a single topic, that maybe too short to be traditionally
broadcast. Besides, normal broadcasters are now using this way
to increase their popularity, or to simply show little segments
of a traditional show.
Credit counseling podcast is a market segment that has become
popular over the last two years, because people everyday are drawing
more attention about topics, that can not be easily explained
by other means.
Melinda Watts:
Why credit counseling podcast are becoming so familiar and needed?
Nancy Smith:
Nowadays people are starting to visualize that financial issues
are very important. People care about their financial situations.
More than ever, they look for possible and effective solutions,
for the problems that attack them.
Most of all Americans do not like talking about their financial
situations, especially when they are indebted.
Melinda Watts:
What are these credit counseling podcast looking for?
Nancy Smith:
Although the main objective of the credit counseling podcast is
to inform, it is now being used by people to post their triumphs
and successes. Thanks to this well known community, backing up
every podcast that goes on online, now people feel more comfortable,
and more confident with themselves, in order to make use of these
type of services. Now counselors can provide advice and can also
accompany the clients very close by.
Melinda Watts:
What main topics are being prepared nowadays?
Nancy Smith:
There are several topics on the net that are frequently in demand
by many clients such as: Christmas budgeting, financial recovering,
managing your cards, spending habits, and how to avoid them, and
much more. It depends on the season, and the time being.
Most of the time credit counseling podcast are being produced,
sometimes for free, and sometimes paid podcast. Most of the broadcasters
allow clients to access the podcast for free, in order to let
them proclaim their freedom from debt.
Melinda Watts:
Is credit counseling podcast secure?
Nancy Smith:
Since it is very easy to produce a podcast today, some scam agencies
are starting to publish lost of podcast, with a non secure content,
meaning that the content from these podcast may not be the truth.
People and specially clients should be very careful with their
subscriptions to podcasts. Credit counseling podcast should have
an explanation from where they are receiving their contents, such
as the Consumer Credit Counseling Service of America. Not every
credit counseling podcast on the net is the real thing. Some of
them claim to be non profit and at the end, they could end up
charging you a lot of money.
Credit counseling podcast will surely help you make many, better
decisions, that will help you get rid of your debt.
